Hewitt Music Studio is run by Christopher Hewitt — professional pianist and music director residing in San Francisco, CA. Christopher is a graduate of the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor's of Music in Piano Performance, cum laude, class of 2012. Active all throughout the Bay Area, Christopher has held a myriad of music jobs in various capacities. As an in-demand Music Director, Christopher's attention to detail and dedication to authenticity brings his shows to critical acclaim, including nominations for Best Music Direction for "Young Frankenstein" at the 2020 Shellie Awards and for "RENT" by SFBATCC in 2023. Recent Music Directing credits include "Spelling Bee", "HAIR", and "Songs for a New World".

Christopher is affiliated with 42nd St. Moon as well as Contra Costa Musical Theatre. In addition to music directing theatre, Christopher is the primary musician at Notre Dame des Victoires Catholic Parish in San Francisco, playing piano, organ, and cantering the masses. Besides teaching private piano and voice lessons, Christopher is also an accompanist for several ensembles in the San Francisco Girls Chorus and is an associate accompanist for the National Children's Chorus, as well as the accompanist for the Menlo Park Chorus.

Christopher began teaching piano lessons while still in high school, and through his passion for performing and music direction, his passion for teaching only increased. Christopher taught piano lessons while a student at University, and continuing to live in Stockton, he taught as many as 33 students in piano and voice from 2012-2015. Focusing on performing for a number of years, Christopher has had a smaller music studio but has always maintained a handful of dedicated  students.

Now in 2023 and moving into 2024, Christopher is shifting his focus more to private instruction and coaching. And with the advancement in technology and commonality of online instruction, students from all over the world can benefit from instruction at Hewitt Music Studio!
